Admittedly I am apprehensive about starting detox tomorrow. Not because I'm worried about eating just veggies and fruit for a week, but I'm terrified of caffeine withdrawal. Not only the pain (even though I've been weaning myself off caffeine for months), but the enjoyment I find in a morning cup of coffee. I like the taste and the me time. Coffee is one of my vices and not one I'm really keen on giving up. I've given up pop, meat and for the most part beer so was hoping to keep coffee. Oh, well.
On a more positive note, I'm ready. I have lemons, carrots and salad fixings ready to go. I made spaghetti sauce and a vegetable soup. I have herbal tea and a bottle ready for water. It will be good and I'm hoping the ucky symptoms will hold off until Thursday since I have a ghost tour Wednesday night. Coborns will deliver more veggies and fruit tomorrow afternoon. It's all good and I'm excited to see the results and move on to new eating habits.
The beware is I've been warned I will be grumpy. So it's for my kids!
